Popper Bot
Put the bottle down. You are not in charge of it any more.
Popper Bot hangs off the mask and takes the timing off you. It listens to the same track you are breathing to, and it hits when the track says so - not when you decide you have earned it.
Air first
Before anything else, there is a CPAP. It pushes air through the mask the whole time you are under, so the mask never turns into a bag. There is always something clean coming in.
The dose rides along on that airflow. It does not replace it. Build it that way or do not build it.
Linen, not liquid
No sloshing, no spills. A strip of linen goes into a little glass vial and gets soaked. The cloth holds onto the liquid and gives up the vapour. That is the whole trick.
It means the thing can hang off your face at any angle and nothing runs out. An open bottle would have been on the floor an hour ago.
It is a fish tank pump
That is it. That is the dosing mechanism. A cheap aquarium air pump, the same one that bubbles away in the corner of somebody's tank, blowing air down through the vial and pushing the vapour up into the mask. One moving part. Nothing clever.
The pump plugs into Outlet, so its switch is a deadman relay and not a line of software deciding. The track says when it kicks on and how long it runs - a short hit here, a long pull there, nothing at all through the quiet stretches. Stop talking to the relay and the pump stops with it, whatever the program thought it wanted.
You do not get a vote. That is the point.
Print these
Two parts and you are most of the way there. STLs to print. F3D if your mask is shaped differently and you need to move things around.
